Back up SolarOS settings first. If this device already runs SolarOS, run nvs backup. Keep /.solar/nvs.bin on SD or copy it off the device—a backup stored in internal flash will be erased too. The file contains unencrypted credentials, so protect it like a password.

I have backed up the NVS settings and other data I need, or accept losing them. Installation erases the entire device, including settings, Wi-Fi credentials, applications, and files stored in internal flash.

Before you begin.

Use a data-capable USB cable and keep the device connected until the installation finishes. Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer is recommended.

If browser flashing is unavailable, download the same release ZIP and use the offline flashing tools, which verify it before installation.
