vplay
Graphical MPEG-1 media player with optional MP2 audio. The bottom controls show playback status and elapsed time above the volume bar; full screen hides the controls and time. The middle Stop/Play icon indicates pause while paused.
The viewport and controls adapt to small targets, including 240×64 displays. Full screen uses the entire display for video. The minimum target size is 84×48 pixels.
Usage:
vplay [-fit|-actual] <file.mpg>
Supports MPEG-1 program streams (.mpg and .mpeg) containing one MPEG-1 video track and optionally one MPEG-1 Layer II (MP2) audio track. MPEG-2, MPEG-4/H.264, AVI, transport streams, and MP3/AAC audio are not supported. The source limit is 640x480; lower resolutions and frame rates are recommended for smooth playback. Playback speed depends on source complexity, display transfer speed, and output size.
Controls:

At either end, the selection stays unchanged.- The shared Previous, Rewind, Stop/Play, Forward, and Next buttons provide the same actions when clicked or tapped.

Playback pauses while its session is suspended and returns to the shell at the end of the file. Audio uses the selected SolarOS output and acts as the playback clock when present; a file with audio requires an available playback output. Video dimensions and frame rate must remain constant, and the initial audio/video timestamp difference must be no more than ten seconds.
SEEKING means the player is preparing a new position. Files without usable seek timestamps take longer. Stop or close playback to cancel. Positions beyond the end select the last frame.
